In Conversation: Michael Chabon and Junot Diaz

In Conversation: is an annual, unmoderated discussion between brilliant people. Hosted by Realm Charter School, In Conversation is a fundraisier and a forum to encourage and celebrate critical conversations around topics important to all of us.

On Februay 2nd at Berkeley High School's Little Theatre, join us for an evening of literary genius between Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Michael Chabon and Junot Diaz. The two will read from their latest works, "Telegraph Avenue" and "This is How You Lose Her," followed by an unscripted conversation around creativity, writing, and education. For VIP ticket holders, a reception with the authors will follow down the street at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza. VIP attendees will also receive a copy of each book and priority seating (limited to 100 tickets).

About Junot Diaz

Junot Díaz was born in the Dominican Republic and the author of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award; as well as This is How You Lose Her, a New York Times bestseller and National Book Award finalist; and the critically-acclaimed Drown. His fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, African Voices, and numerous Best American Short Stories anthologies. He is the recipient of a MacArthur ‘Genius’ Fellowship, PEN/Malamud Award, Dayton Literary Peace Prize, Guggenheim Fellowship and PEN/O. Henry Award among other accolades. A graduate of Rutgers College, Díaz is currently the fiction editor at Boston Review and the Rudge and Nancy Allen Professor of Writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
